Robert Kiyosaki's Cashflow Game is Good for the Family

It seems to me that the Cashflow game invented by Robert Kiyosaki is the ONE big investment that each family can make for their kids. Seriously, I really think so.

My wife owns the violet color. She got out of the rat race first in this game.
Learning how the world of money works is like learning how to ride a bus or a train. I mean, hey, we can't do without it! Yet, people actually go through life without learning how it works.

Struggling to get a ride in a rush hour like this is nothing compared to not knowing which train, bus or jeepney to get into for you to get to your desired destination. The same principle applies in finances.
Can you imagine living in Metro Manila not knowing how to ride a train? or a bus? or a jeepney? With that, I mean knowing where these things go and deciding whether that particular trip is for you or not.

I wish to train my kids how to pick the right train or bus, as well as how to pick the right use of their money. I now begin to look at money this way: money comes in different shapes. You decide which shape is for you, then go for the one you choose.

Neighbors and fellow members of Couples for Christ Community joined us in one of the Cashflow Games at home. From left to right, Rhia (my wife), Maxim & Anna Reyes, and Joey & Chay Maitim.
In the last Cashflow Game I applied what little I know about dollar-cost averaging. For as long as the price was good I kept buying the same stock everytime I had the chance. I later encashed the stocks when the market went up.

I then used the money to buy a 3/2 house, which I later sold again for something of higher value, which helped me get out of the rat race. Cool game.  I would want that to happen in my real life. Playing the Cashflow game would put you on that mindset.

The great thing about learning how something works is that one day, through repetition and great personal emotional involvement, it would lead to mastery. With mastery comes more money!

I'm not saying money is everything. Many gurus have put it different ways, but let me put it my way this time: money is IN everything, like blood, whether we like it or not. Gosh, money is even in the Church and the pockets of priests and nuns. Like blood, money is simply in every aspect of our life!

Left on its own, splattered on the street, lots of money is messy. It becomes an object of rats. But letting that money circulate in a system that's efficient and humane, money becomes very beautiful.

Some say lots of money is bad. From everything I've read, it's more like, the person handling that much money is the one who's bad, not the money. There are lots of good people handling lots of money too!

So, let's play the game, play the game well and be one of the good guys.

Deal?
